Adventures in Swan: Olive Garden, Atlantis & King David

Laileigh (we're at Olive Garden): "I want to go to the Bahamas."

Angel: "Why? Is someone you know going there?"

Laileigh: "No. I just thought of it."

Angel: "Let me show you my favorite place in the Bahamas." I get my phone and start searching. I find Atlantis. Paradise Island. Nassau, the Bahamas. "Here, look at this so you know." She does. "I've been there once. Remember the name. This is my favorite place in the Bahamas."

Earlier... (in "Swan" our white Conversion van)

Angel: (driving to Olive Garden, as Lai has requested for today's adventure; we've had dozens and dozens of adventures; handing Lai my phone as I drive) "Find one of the Bible stories. You need some more Bible story knowledge. Then you can watch whatever you want." Lai finds Jonah. She can handle a computer or phone like magic. Earlier, at home, we were watching David and I said that God told Samuel to go find and anoint his King. I explained what "anointing" was. "You know, like, when you are really nice to someone who has been really mean to YOU?" We've discussed this subject before. The first thing I bought her was a Children's Bible and a Jesus manger. I have the videos. They are darling. "THAT's oil. Oil is hard to press out. Like it is hard to be nice to someone who is mean to you. The King is anointed with oil. It's like your mom. So-and-so (someone she knows) is great big and handsome and strong. Your mom is very kind and sweet and good. Which one would God pick for his King?"

Lai: "My mom."

Angel: "Exactly. It works like that."
