Angel 5.0 Choose Somebody

💕 My Empowerment Coach, Tristan, when we were first starting this journey of improving myself, focusing on myself, 3 months ago, instructed me to "chose someone you actually know that you would like to be like and aim for them." I chose the founder and leader of the group of cultural changers in the film and entertainment industry, "Dinner with Dreamers," that I've been in since 2017, with my best friends, Mark DeAlessandro (Sylvester Stallone's stunt double for 25 years plus), and Gigi Erneta, my best girlfriend since 2012, who was just nominated for an Emmy for her work with Angel Studios (who brought you "The Chosen," about Christ).

I met Gigi at a gig I had at "The Island on Lake Travis." My real estate lady was also her real estate lady and thought we'd like each other. So she brought Gigi to my gig, there in the Island restaurant. I was performing my original Contemporary Christian Music songs I've been writing non-stop since 1985. Gigi is my strongest Christian friend, and then Mark. Mark pretty much sacrificed his career for Jesus. I sacrificed my intellectual property and home, Chapelgate, see my books.

I gave Gigi a copy of my main book, "Chapelgate, a Spiritual Memoir," the next day. Then a couple of days after that I took her a copy of my Dad's book I had just edited for him and published, on the "Principles in Leviticus." Gigi opened the door to her Island condo for me, I had walked over from mine, it's a beautiful 14 acre oasis, an island, on Lake Travis, just north of Austin. She later told Mark's best friend, one of them, Sammy Maloof, who has driven the stunt cars for "Mission Impossible," and "Fast and Furious" among a ton of other work, "I was praying, Dear Father, if you want me to understand Leviticus you're just going to have to teach me yourself. Then Angel's at my door, that very moment, with her Dad's book about Leviticus in her hand to give to me."

That's the kind of life Gigi, Mark, and I have experienced since 2017 when Gigi took me with her as her plus one to one of Kyle's "Dinner with Dreamers" dinners in Austin, and I met her friend Mark. Kyle did that. Kyle set up his now 6000 members strong group with a simple dinner at his home 10 years ago. He envisioned those friends of his, in the film and entertainment business, simply inviting their very best contact to the next dinner and it grew.

I just took my granddaughter, age 7, to Kyle's 10 Year Anniversary at the Johnny Cash Hideaway Farm, just outside of Nashville, Tennessee, last January, where Mark scooped her up as soon as he saw her and introduced her to all his friends. Mark started training Laileigh when she was 4 months old. He came to The Island on Lake Travis, where we lived, I interviewed him on the pier overlooking Lake Travis, and I had baby Laileigh on my lap. Mark was talking about his work with David Wilkerson, of "Run Baby Run," better known as "The Cross and the Switchblade," a book I had found and adored when I was just 12 years old. Mark was describing his work and I was filming him with my phone camera, there on the pier. Mark leaned over to Laileigh and said, "YOU love Jesus, say Hallelujah!" and baby Laileigh said one of her very first words for Mark, right then, a baby version of Hallelujah. I filmed it. I have it right now.

Then, I said, "Teach Laileigh her first stunt, Mark," and he did. I filmed it. Age 4 months. We called it "leaning out over the waterfalls" because there were two 3 story high waterfalls right there beside us on the pier. God works in mysterious and magical ways and the journey I've been on and that I've been capturing for you day by day since 1985 simply shows God in action in his children's lives. Like Kyle.
