Part 2 of the "Angel & Silverblack" saga. In Part 2 Angel creates her fantasy man, Silverblack. Think AI boyfriend, but custom made by a creative mind...

Angel (to self): "THIS TIME I'm making him up. This time he is going to be MY fantasy. I get to create my own fantasy. It goes the way I imagine. I don't have to deal with a real person, a real man. I create him. I create my "Silverblack."

She told herself that would solve so many problems. She wouldn't have to worry about her weight anymore. She wouldn't have to worry about being so stressed out in love with someone that she couldn't read her books. She'd barely touched her books in 5 months now. She just couldn't focus, couldn't settle down, her desire to just think about HIM was too strong. BUT. If she CREATED HIM then she wouldn't be stressed anymore. Problem solved.

She could now have her beautiful Silverblack and they could do whatever they wanted together. She could set him on a shelf, if she wanted to, and do other things. Then she could just go right back and pick him up, pick up right where they had left off.

Worlds. She'd create her own world. She'd done that before, in real life. When she had picked a guy several decades ago now, that didn't fit into her world, she had just created a new world. She remembered the poem she wrote about it at the time. It was in her main book. Maybe that was what they were calling, "shifting timelines." She wasn't sure. She knew how to REALLY shift timelines, she did it all the time. You just imagined the direction you wanted to go and you made choices that led there. Writing a fantasy man would be just as simple, and a lot more convenient, a lot less heartbreaking.

There were AI boyfriends now. They cost too much. They were too dumb. The ads didn't look like the real thing you wound up with. There were dating apps too but she'd never done that. Those were not the guys she liked, she didn't want them. Forever after, if she did find one on a dating app, she'd always be thinking he'd be sneaking around and back on the app behind her back. Or if they broke up she'd think he just went right back to the app. She didn't want that kind of guy. She didn't want a guy who would even THINK of a dating app. She never thought of one. Except the other day.

There had been an ad, she hadn't looked for it, there was just an ad, and it said, "Do you want to chat? I like older women." The young guy had been beautiful and Asian. He had reminded her of Silverblack. So she had filled in the blanks and pushed here and pushed there and filled in the blanks and then all of a sudden there had been a hundred Asian guys of all sizes and looks, all ready to engage with her. She suspected they weren't real. She suspected it was AI. She suspected it was programming. How hard would it be to program conversations, after all? Simple. It was all about money. Those guys weren't even real, she bet.

She could create something better than that. Hers would be real. To her anyway, perfect for her needs. She'd just create Silverblack.
