The Homesteading Singles group wouldn't let me post what I said (see previous recent stories) the first time. So I tried again and left out Bigfoot, lol. Let's see if they accept try #2...

Hi, I bought my off-grid land about 5 years ago, put a blue shed cabin there, bought tools, and hired locals online to clear around my cabin. I've done it all from a state away. I live in Texas, my off-grid property is in the Arkansas Ozarks. I've traveled there a few times but never spent the night. I've now reached the point where I've met a local whom I've hired as my Caretaker to live there. I bought the land for my baby granddaughter as a safety net for when she grows up and also to teach her the values of owning land and caring for it. I had these values passed down to me from my ancestors. Before this project, which I call "Angel Creek" I bought and restored an old Grist Mill property in Tennessee. I'm a writer so I wrote about the journey and call that adventure "Chapelgate." Nice to meet everyone. My plans are to continue caring for the land from afar, visit, and eventually host Singer/Songwriter/Writer workshops. Thanks! Angel
