💕 Today’s short-story… My recent thoughts as I watched from my FB feed my friends Gabriel & Gypsy (both of whom I have written my Texas Tales about on my website) navigate Daytona Biketoberfest 2026 included a couple of surprises. As Gypsy was with the Waylon Jennings inner circle Whey Jennings, I saw “Hayfire.”

Angel: “Oh Brooks really kept up his band,” and I looked for him. He was my bass player boyfriend, Bax’s, boss at Guitar Center. So I remember the day Brooks founded Hayfire. Then I saw this guy on stage with Bo’Gator, also on the same stages as Whey, with really really long hair. So I took a closer look. “Oh!!! that’s Keith! Wow, I haven’t seen him in forever.” He ran in our/Bax’s circles, a fellow bass player friend.

I’m now wondering who else is going to pop up. “Oh! There’s an old pic of someone with Pat Travers, Bax’s boss at Bass Central. I wonder if Yvonne and Logan are there…” Bax and I spent 1998-2010 (Bax & Gabe 2001-2010, Gabe’s still by my side now; Bax is back in Florida after networking Austin music with me 2010-2016) navigating the Orlando, Daytona, Cocoa Beach, Tampa, Central Florida independent live music scene. Gabe became my Texas Co-Producer for my TV series based on my 2010-2026 same thing networking (Bax 2010-2016) in Austin & Central Texas. So that was a fun Biketoberfest for me just watching from Austin. xo
