Ducks at Night on the Pond

My home, at "Chapelgate," - the building on the cliff was my house. We called it, "The Lodge," because that is what Senator Edgar Evins and Congressman Joe. L. Evins, of Tennessee, named it. It was in their family for 50 years before my late husband and I bought it for our family home. My late husband, Robin, was a world-class Engineer and designed the bridge going over the top of the 150 ft. long concrete dam you see in this picture. I'm standing beside the Grist Mill, just out of the picture to my left. We used to light it up like this at night when we'd bring Contemporary Christian Music Artists and Songwriters here for my events I hosted. Two million gallons of water per hour flowed over the dam and then a thousand feet down our creek to flow over our 3 waterfalls into our gorge. I write about all of this in my books and stories available on my website. xo Oh, and I had 33 ducks that I bought and fed, living on the pond (above the dam). I bought 2-4 of every variety I could find, they were so beautiful. White, Black, Wood ducks, Mallards, geese, funny white ones with a top knot...
