Today's interest... I'm on Jeremiah 16 (started at Jeremiah 1 several days ago; I never stop. Born into Bible/God. Vow to read 1 verse per day for 1 year in 1985. Never stopped. Haven't missed a day studying the Bible since then. 41 years.)

Google search quote: "metaphysical meaning of "fishing" truthunity"

"In Unity metaphysics, "fishing" symbolizes the active, conscious effort to gather new ideas, truths, and spiritual substance from the subconscious or superconscious mind, often representing a "search for meaning" or increase of ideas. It signifies cultivating a "prosperity consciousness," where one directs their mental, spiritual, and intellectual energy toward gaining spiritual wisdom to manifest supply.

Key metaphysical aspects of fishing in Truth Unity:

Consciousness of Increase: Fishing, particularly in references to Bethsaida ("house of fishing"), represents a mental state focused on gathering new ideas and spiritual substance.

The Right Side of Consciousness: "Casting the net on the right side" signifies operating from the Christ Mind rather than from mere intellectual or "animal" thought (the left side), leading to abundant results.

Fishing for Men: Metaphysically, this refers to raising one's own thoughts (or teaching others) to a higher level of awareness, shifting from selfish concerns to selfless service.

Substance Generation: Fish are seen as symbols of the capacity for increase in the invisible world of substance.

Active Search: It is the active,, sometimes patient, process of looking for insights, similar to looking for new ideas in the mental plane.

It represents the active, conscious effort to bring spiritual, unseen ideas into manifestation."

Quote King James Version Bible: "Jeremiah 16:16 (KJV) states, "Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith the Lord, and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks." This verse symbolizes the inescapable judgment of God on the Israelites, where they will be sought out and punished for their sins, with nowhere to hide."
