My Facebook tool, Train tracks & You're my Sidekicks

Just a reminder… I write & create content. I use my Facebook as a tool. Sometimes I write new stories here. I frequently delete posts. I update. I change things. Right now I have lots of photos & videos on my iPhone from Paul Val’s gigs. I use my phone to record video. The easiest way for me to transfer my iPhone photos/videos is to upload them to my Facebook. Then I download them to my PC so I have a backup copy on a different computer. Then I move them to my Apple computer which has my film editing software, Final Cut Pro X. Then I edit into the final copy. That’s what I’ve been busy doing for today but also the last 4 gigs I recorded of Paul. He gave me permission. I’m not trying to post regular, I’m working.

Yes, I could set the audience to "Only Me" but I get my material for my true stories I write FROM my regular life. So this way gives me material. Plus, sharing with you guys gives me a boost I need, as inspiration. My late husband always had a "sidekick" - a friend who walked with him daily that he could derive inspiration from by just sharing the journey and thoughts. I eventually became that sidekick for him.

I know every single one of his software program names by heart, and there are hundreds, because he'd just comment here and there as he worked, "STRCOM" (pronounced "Star Com" meaning the units on the drilling wells that he designed to collect the data and communicate it to the main system; the units were called the Data Star units) is fighting with "STRMGR" again (meaning the software program the Data Star units were sending their data to in order to have it managed, Star Manager) because they both need control of the data.... Then he'd expect me to come up with some brilliant response to prompt his thinking so he could solve the problem. I barely had a clue for a long time.

Eventually I could just use common sense and metaphors, which I love in my Bible study, and I'd say, "Well, think of it as a train station and the programs as railroad individual cars. How does a railroad station handle it?" And then he'd say, like the mad scientist he was, "Of course! If I just tell STRCOM to step aside on a separate track for a second while STRMGR goes by, then..." and he'd be off again into genius land.

So, I am just talking out loud with my posts. You guys are my "Sidekicks" to keep me inspired. Anyway, by posting them where you can see then you get to enjoy my work as I do this. It’s easier for me. Then I usually delete or rearrange. My page constantly changes because I work constantly. Just fyi. Thanks! xo Angel 💕 PS My completed work is always on my website.
