Paul Val @C-Boy's Austin, Texas

💕 💕 Part 3of3 “Texas Tales from a Lone Star” by Angel Isaacs featuring Paul Val Texas Blues Rock N’ Soul. This is my third television episode filming Paul, I just finished it yesterday. I turned in Part 1 to Austin Public Television a few days ago & it will air next Friday at 8 pm Channel 16, most likely. If not then the Friday after that, but definitely in the next 2 weeks. It's a 30 minute show. These 3 episodes are @C-Boy's on South Congress, near downtown Austin, last June.

This was the first time I filmed him (plus at the famous Cotton Club five years ago when I was filming my main inspiration for my show, Andy, and saw Paul come in), although I did notice him when he was first starting out about a decade ago (because he was gorgeous, lol.) I thought back then he'd become a force of nature, and he most certainly is, with his Stevie Ray Vaughan tattoos and presence, playing Stevie Ray's venues like C-Boy's, the Continental Club and Antones, and training under our legendary blues musicians' oversight and care, such as Soulman Sam Evans. Now he's seasoned and today he's in Spain, where his ancestors lived, bringing them his fierce Texas Independence and Outlaw style of doing it his way. He'll be performing in France next week.

I've filmed him 8 times now at different gigs of his, around Austin, "Live Music Capital of the World," starting last June with these first three episodes. I'll be creating more episodes. Several of these songs are his originals. Paul and his band are now touring Europe for September and October for the first time. I feel like I chose to film him at exactly the right time in his career. Watch why... xo
