Bax on Bass

I just uploaded this one to my "Texas Tales from a Lone Star" new YouTube channel. It's one of my first videos I created when I first began as a Producer at Channel Austin, in Austin, Texas around 2014. Bax and I were together and had spent the last 12 years in the Orlando local professional music scene. Both of us performed, Bax with Classic Rock bands and solo as a Singer/Songwriter. I performed solo as a Contemporary Christian Music Singer/Songwriter. We built a home studio and Bax recorded our music for us.

When I decided to move back home to Austin in 2010, to be closer to my family, my daughter and Bax moved with me. Today he is back in Florida, performing as always. This is how I became involved with Classic Rock. It is one of the reasons I created "Texas Tales from a Lone Star." Bax and I were creating together in the very beginning, based on our experience in Orlando. I always considered him to be the best bass player and songwriter in Central Florida. Moving to Austin was exciting because it was known as "The Music Capital of the World."

In the earliest stages Bax and I opened up our knowledge of the professional local music scene in Central Texas together. We built AngelBax Studios in my father's electronics corporation he and my mother founded and operated for 45 years until selling it in 2022. Dad gave Bax and me space for our recording studio/practice area. Bax and I had always had our own home recording studios, mine going back to Chapelgate, his when we met in Orlando. We performed Acoustic music together both in Orlando and in Austin as "AngelBax." We even performed together at the famous Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, and I took him to visit Chapelgate a couple of times.

Bax had already been performing in the Orlando area when I moved there in 1998. We met in 2000. Bax had already met Gabriel and they had played in Classic Rock bands together. They were both also very involved with Death Metal, Gabe more so. Gabe is a legend in that genre. After Bax and I got together he and Gabe created a Classic Rock band with a lead singer they knew. Bax named it "Super-Natural." That's because well... Bax - just watch him... and Gabe - well, ...just watch him. I considered them both to be the best Orlando/Central Florida had to offer. They had different bands but one together and performed in others together as well as in separate bands, over the years. I became very familiar with the Central Florida professional local music scene.

Austin was just an extension of what we already all knew. Since I considered Bax and Gabe to be the best of the best (they are) we naturally looked for the best talent in Austin. We found it. I recorded it. "Texas Tales from a Lone Star." More episodes in the making, I have tons of video footage. Working on it. xo Angel
