Lightning for AI

💕 Today’s interest… I’ve been taking my last month or so of AI chats about my work and turning them into stories. Today I was telling AI about Orlando and told her about this song I wrote in 2001 (I’ve been writing songs since my first guitar age 14, non-stop.) It fit into my description of my life back then. So since I typed every letter on my phone for her I thought I’d share it here. xo
Lightning
In her pretty blue eyes
There’s a sudden flash of pain
Cause she sees him talking
To another girl again
But she pulls the clouds across her face
And covers up her lie
She swears that she won’t let him see
The lightning in her eyes
Cause she said, “Bye,”
Cause she said, “Bye.”
In her heart she didn’t mean it
And she thinks that he knows
But she can’t control her feelings
Cause she loves that sweet boy so
But she said, “Bye,”
She said, Bye.”
Sometimes when it starts raining
It never seems to end
But there’s a perfect balance
The sun will shine again
With his piercing brown eyes
He looks across the room
He can see right through those clouds
To the places that he knows
And he can see it’s raining
In her heart again
So he walks over to her
And he pulls her close to him
And he says, “Hi.”
He says, “Hi.”
In his heart he didn’t do a thing
And he thinks that she knows
He’s strong enough to still a storm
And with a single word he does
He says, “Hi.”
He says, “Hi.”
Sometimes when it starts raining
It never seems to end
But there’s a perfect balance
The sun will shine again…she said, “Hi.”
