This week will be the 3rd week of the Summer Season, which lasts until October 1st, for my Television series, "Texas Tales from a Lone Star." In the 3rd episode I interview Gabriel, and he describes his work as a Death Metal drummer. Gabe's modest. I'm not. To me, Gabe is one of the foundational pillars, icons, of what is known as "Tampa Old School Death Metal." Tampa is known as the birthplace, the fountain, the spring head if you will, of the musicians who CREATED the Death Metal genre. Gabe's roots and fellow acquaintances and friends go back to THERE. When he tours Europe they are usually the headliners, whatever band he's decided to be in, for years it was the band, "Resurrection," that had most of his attention. He is very independent and does what he wants. I draw those unrestrained individuals to my work and personality because it is a trait I value in myself. It is called, "Sovereignty," in my ancient Biblical Hebrew studies.

I like "Sovereign" individuals, Kings, if you will. It is a concept I write from and about. So this is me interviewing my friend, Gabriel, who is my polar opposite when it comes to my being a foundational Old School Contemporary Christian Singer/Songwriter/Recording Artist (read my bio about how I turned down RCA Records so I could do this myself) "Sovereign," as I said, back at the very beginning of Jesus music and CCM. I then created, founded, MYSELF, a private 39.5 acre hideaway, because I was extremely wealthy at the time, read my Bio, books, stories, etc., and began bringing in the Christian Singer/Songwriters in the Nashville area, which was the heart.

So here you have me and my background interviewing and working with someone like my friend for over 20 years, a Death Metal drummer, both "Sovereign," both the rulers of their own individual "Kingdoms" - I'm blending in my ancient Biblical Hebrew concepts, here, and the result is this. Episode 3 of Texas Tales from a Lone Star being shown on Austin Public Television because the two of us, polar opposite faithful friends, worked together for a decade to bring it to you. Enjoy! and yes, be amazed.

This 3rd episode is scheduled to be aired this Friday from 8-8:30 pm, June 20, 2025 on Channel 16, Austin Public Television/Austin Film Society/City of Austin, Texas "Live Music Capital of the World."
