The Spirit of a Dragon with its Gold

Learn how to read spirits. How? Go find your Bible and put it beside your bed. Make a vow to read 1 single verse every single day, before midnight, for 1 year. Do it. God treats vows as holy. Don't you dare mess up. Vow. I did this and sometimes I'd find myself at 2 minutes before midnight. I'd shut my eyes and create words in the blackness and I'd READ them in my mind, like "Jesus wept," the shortest verse in the Bible. BUT I kept my VOW. You don't mess around with vows. You especially don't mess around with a VOW to God our Father. So you VOW. Vow for 1 year. Then DO it.

Then #2, as you read your Bible, each and every single day, that solitary 1 verse, you will often find yourself reading a second verse, a third verse, a paragraph, a page. This occurs naturally because it becomes interesting to you. As you read it creates new thoughts in your mind. Frequently these new thoughts will battle with your old thoughts. War. You will read something and know you aren't doing it right. War. So, step #2 is to OBEY. When your mind goes to war, and you realize the Bible is teaching you to do something that is at odds with what you normally do then CHOOSE to do it the new way, what you are reading and understanding in God's Holy Word. CHANGE. CHOOSE. The next thing that will happen is that you are presented with a PRICE. Pay the Price. That price will often be something that seems expensive to you. Pay it anyway. Pay the price.

For example, if you have gotten used to lying about being sick in order to use your sick days at work, but you've started this Vow for a year that I'm telling you how to do, and you now have an uneasy feeling the next time you don't want to go to work, and you have 3 sick days left, you have to CHOOSE. If you aren't sick, then you have to be willing to pay the price. You can't use your sick days if you aren't sick. See, it gets expensive. CHOOSE to be honest. Choose to pay the price. Go to work. Or tell them you aren't sick but you aren't coming in. Either path costs you. Pay it.

Now, once you get used to doing that then just keep it up. What is going to happen is your gold you have invested in God is going to start piling up. At first you will have a couple of gold coins, the times you chose to obey. As you do it more and more, your gold coins begin to pile up. Pretty soon you'll have a secret little jewelry box full of gold coins. Your DESIRE is where your HEART is. Pay the price. Collect the gold. Increase the gold. It shifts your spirit.

The 3rd step is to nourish yourself. It has gotten very hard to do that these days. I think it was easier back when I started this process, myself, in the mid-1980s. It was easier because part of the vow I made was to change the type of music I listened to. That is called nourishment. I took away the bad food I was used to and loved at the time, which was my love of Country music. I changed to a type of food I didn't really care for, Gospel music. That was not appealing to me at all. But I did it. I changed my food. As I started actively turning the channel off for Country music and finding the channel (I'm thinking car radio) for Gospel God stepped in and gave me something I came to love.

He gave me Contemporary Christian Music. I didn't know it existed at the time I made my vow. God knew. God is actually watching you, reading your mind, your heart, your needs, your choices, and he steps in to help you when he sees you struggling. He's just like a big, strong, loving Dad. He watches and waits and puts things in your path that will help you, his little child, his baby, his toddler. God stepped in and led me to Contemporary Christian Music. In the 1980s there were a lot of good recording artists with good music, good food, on the radio. I began to love it. I began to look forward to it. As I ate, I began to get stronger. I began to grow. I began to change. My spirit changed because the food I was feeding it changed.

Personally, I don't think that food exists in that same quality anymore. I think it has been replaced with spiritual food that is pretty much the same quality as the Country music food I was used to when I first started. So don't listen to it. Go find the 1970s and 1980s Contemporary Christian Music and listen to IT, instead. I know it has real food in it, real nutrition. Find what you need, what God leads you to. God WILL lead you.

Watch your spirit change. Observe it. I am able to observe this because I simply think differently than most people. I think differently because of my choices, my desires, my actions. I started with a few gold coins secretly stashed away in the heavenly kingdom. I now have the level of Dragon Gold, hidden away in a secret fortress in a deep cave in a mountain.

Metaphors.

As you read your single verse of the Bible each day for a year tell yourself to start looking for the metaphors. The Bible, I promise, I vow to you, is FULL of metaphors. LIFE, I promise, I vow to you, is FULL of metaphors.

Today, decades later, I am reading Jonah 3. I woke up, made my cup of coffee, turned on my heating pad I keep on my back, because it comforts me, feels good, of my lovely expensive, $5200. white massage chair, sat down, turned it on, turned on my big TV screen, 4 ft. by 7 ft., right in front of my massage chair, and brought up my screen. It is connected to my PC computer, so that my TV acts as a computer monitor. That lets me have tabs, just like on a computer. I keep one of the tabs open to the Interlinear Bible, one tab preloaded with "metaphysical meaning of "whatever-word" I want to cut-and-paste there, perhaps "Jonah", or whatever interests me as I study" and I have my writing, my work, my website, etc. on the other tabs. It is a HABIT. It is a DESIRE. I WANT to know what Jonah 3 says. I look for the Metaphors as I read. I match the Metaphors to Life, to my life, to life in general. It always works.

So, Jonah 3 is talking about: "Jonah signifies an error sense of justice and right in individual consciousness that prophesies evil to the evildoer and condemns him without mercy or saving grace, because love and mercy do not enter into its idea of justice and Truth..."

I take that thought and I match it to life, life in general, whatever thoughts spring up, right now "Alligator Alcatraz" is popping up in my mind, and whatever thoughts spring up, in my own day-to-day life, right now the thought that they made the design of their new prison too mercilessly springs into my mind, something that has been bothering me a lot every time I read about it.

That is your SPIRIT. Your spirit ponders these things. The Bible verses act as a spring board to launch your mind into these areas. God, your Father, is always watching, always helping, always sending you whatever you need next. So it becomes FUN, really, really FUN. It becomes like a search for gold and diamonds and treasure. The treasure is what you have invested in your obedience, your walk, and tucked away in the kingdom of heaven. You become like a dragon - your spirit - and you CRAVE GOLD and treasure. You guard your gold, your jewels, your treasure. You use it to finance your next adventure, the next verses God is going to lead you to grasping and doing.

All this becomes your SPIRIT.

So, this morning, in my feed, was this reel, this video, of a man with a lovely spirit. He has gold coins, gold treasure tucked away because he recognized and changed his spirit. This is what a beautiful spirit looks like. Learn to recognize it. xo Angel

The Facebook reel/video I watched that prompted me to write this is HERE:

If it is no longer available, basically, it was a man talking about his commitment to his wife. He expressed deep and beautiful thoughts about it. xo
