I just got home from a 5 night cruise with the "Dinner with Dreamers" group of creatives, mostly involved in the Christian film industry. It is Kyle and Kenny Saylors' group of what started out as a handful of friends and evolved into what is probably the most dynamic group of world-changers God has orchestrated for these current times. We left from Miami, on Royal Caribbean, and cruised the East Caribbean including Jamaica and Grand Cayman. We had events primarily for our Dreamers group but the public was invited to Kyle and Kenny's private showing of their latest film, "In the Shadow of the King." It is an insider documentary of Elvis, as told by the people closest to him over the years. See what I mean. World-changers. With just this one film, alone, Kyle and Kenny completely changed the way the entire world views Elvis. They show how dedicated he was to God and Jesus and to loving our neighbors, and complete strangers, like ourselves. The Golden Rule, in action, as told by those who loved Elvis and knew him, THAT's THEIR film.
I'm old now. I'm tired. I traveled with my good friend (separate rooms of course), Mark DeAlessandro, Sylvester Stallone's body double and stunt double for 23 years, a friend I made at a private dinner in Austin in 2017. Mark took care of me because he is also one of God's "Golden Rule" kids. We call ourselves, "God's kids." My girlfriend, actress Gigi Erneta, another Golden one, took me to the dinner that night, 7 years ago, simply because... "I was exercising today, Angel, I wasn't thinking about you at all, and the Holy Spirit said, "Take Angel with you tonight." Do you want to go?" Of course I had answered, "yes," and away we went on new adventures, this time including Mark DeAlessandro, whom I met that night, along with Kyle (and Brenda Golden, as in William Lee Golden). Mark became my granddaughter, Laileigh's, stunt hero and taught her her first stunt (leaning out over the waterfall) when she was 4 months old. I have stories and videos and photos and more stories, and more stories...
I've been writing "day-to-day" short-stories of my life since 1985. It's 2024 and I have several books, and hundreds of poems, videos, short-stories, and songs, and I'm still writing about my life and walk with God, all the time. Mark lets me also write a few of my stories about him, I asked from the very beginning. Why do I want to? Because Mark is first class, World-Class, not just in his unparalled career as a Hollywood Stuntman/Stunt Coordinator in 180 A+ class films but in being one of "God's kids." He is golden, as in the rule, and my story windows, I dare to believe, let people see what that looks like. I create "windows" into life being a child of God and walking, sometimes, where angels fear to tread.
Like I was saying, you are reading the words of a golden child who sacrificed $690 million dollars for God, "Dear God, if there is some way you can use this lawsuit, (my intellectual property of my late husband), for your Glory, then I give you every penny. Including Chapelgate (my home)." ("Chapelgate, a Spiritual Memoir," my main book). You are reading the words of a golden child who then spent 15,000 hours retranslating the King James Bible from ancient Biblical Hebrew and Greek, AFTER God DID take the $690 million dollars sacrifice, trying to grasp WHY? I was even in that "David & Goliath" situation in the first place and WHY Goliath had won when I had followed David perfectly. It's all in my book, my books, my stories, my photos, my videos.
This is our adventure God laid out for us to walk, everyone I write about and everyone who reads what I write about, and hopefully does what we all do and just follow our Father's lead. I'm old now. I just went on a cruise. I stayed in my beautiful room that looked out over the beautiful ocean, most of the time, went to the Dreamer's special events, took photos, wrote my stories, and now here they are for you. Join us. We love you. We call ourselves, "God's kids."

1. "Texas Tales from a Lone Star" Afar: Jamaica & Grand Cayman Island
"Texas Tales from a Lone Star" announces a new set of upcoming short-stories/episodes. Today I reserved my cabin on the private "Dinner with Dreamer's Cruise." I've been a member since 2017 when my girlfriend invited me as her plus one. Once a member does that, you're in, and I love this group of media professionals.
Definition of the Dreamers group quote: "Visionaries and creatives from Film, Television, Music, New Media, Publishing, Non-Profit, Entrepreneurial leaders, and World Changers."
2. Viktor & a Dreamers' T-shirt
Today’s interest… What I am doing is matching up spiritual laws of heaven in the Bible, the deep original Hebrew scriptures, with the physical laws of earth to see how God’s Word is designed. Viktor had a thousand year family history of being the caretakers of a European royal forest. His observations MATCH my 15,000 hours of studying the translation of our Bible after my MDiv. I write about this on my website. Meanwhile, Dreamer’s Cruise countdown…I just ordered a Dreamer’s T-shirt…
3. Stunt Coordinating a Cruise
Mark (on the phone this morning): "Do you know what time it is?!!"
Angel: "8:30 am."
Mark: "I was asleep!" (Angel to self, “Well, THAT’s a surprise.” Mark is an early riser, I burn the midnight oil.)
Angel: "Sorry! I know, I know, if YOU had called ME at 8:30 am I’d be saying, WHY did you WAKE me UP!!!?? Sorry." (I had sent him texts of my new Royal Caribbean cruise room. We’re going March 16-21 to Jamaica & Grand Cayman with the Dreamers group.) I LOVE my room. It has a bathtub AND a balcony. I had sent him a video of it and said I may not leave my room the entire trip because I’d be happily reading books and enjoying my beautiful room.
Mark: "You need to invite Gigi!" (I already had.) Mark is a Stunt Coordinator. He coordinates stunts. For all of us. "Call Sammy and invite him. He can bunk with me. Bring Laileigh." I love how Mark simply organizes everything around him. He truly is a world-class Stuntman and Stunt-Coordinator, in every moment of his life. I'm used to it.
4. Dreamer to Dreamer
This is a comment I made on Facebook on a fellow "Dinner with Dreamers" page. I noticed they were posting pictures of themselves linked to people they personally knew connected to people I knew. I did not yet know this person.
5. God's Insurance
So I was reading Leviticus Chapters 3, 4, and 5 and wasn't really getting it. I've learned that when I don't grasp something, not to worry, God will just bring it up again. So I even said a quick prayer, for insurance, "God, I'm not really getting this." Or maybe I was getting it and didn't want to. It was making me squirm, uncomfortable, the part that was coming through. It was talking about sacrifice and appointed times, feasts, laws for sin offerings, laws for peace offerings and how forgiveness works - ours and God's. I think I may have done one of those sins and might need to make one of those offerings...it was talking about when you sin inadvertently, didn't mean to. I think I may have done that to Mark with the cruise.
In the beginning of our friendship Mark had asked me to write his Biography, his book. As we went along I got more and more nervous about that. I knew that Mark must have signed a jillion Non-Disclosure Agreements during his career.
6. Johnny Cash in Jamaica, Organs, and Beware!
I'm writing about the upcoming cruise I'm going on, in two days, from Miami to Jamaica and Grand Cayman island. I have a half dozen or more stories now, on my website. The group, "Dinner with Dreamers," has a private Facebook group page we have been reading and posting on. I made a post a minute ago about Rose Hall and some other excursions.
7. Baby Jesus to Jamaica!
Ok, I'm off on my "Dinner with Dreamer's" cruise from Miami to Jamaica then Grand Cayman! My plane goes out from Austin tomorrow, but I'm loading my packed suitcases into my van right now. I'm heading into Austin to look through my storage for my marriage certificate. Seems I have to prove my married name and birth name are connected since I'm using my birth certificate and driver's license instead of my expired passport. Long story. I've already written almost a dozen short-stories about this cruise for "Texas Tales from a Lone Star" and they are on my website. Look in the "Chapelgate" category. I put most of them in there anyway, so you could read them for free. I told my daughter, Skye, that I was a bit worried about the voodoo there at a house I've paid to visit, Rose Hall. I don't know that much about it and it worries me a bit. My 6 year old granddaughter, Laileigh, overheard me. As she was later helping me pack she put her "baby Jesus" doll in my suitcase. I asked her why. She said "baby Jesus" would protect me. Awwwww!!! Our baby Jesus doll doesn't look much like Jesus but we've been using it for that since Lai was born. It is one of our prized possessions. So, I'm going to Jamaica and the story is posted here on my page, about Rose Hall, and baby Jesus is in my suitcase. I will do what I do and turn this into a story. Beautiful. Tomorrow Eden Roc Miami on the beach! The next day, cruise! YAY!!!! "Dear Father, please be with us all and everyone we love." xo Angel
8. An Answered Prayer to see God
Mark: “Have you ever wished God would just give you a sign? I mean like let you SEE him, right in front of you? That’s what I’ve been praying for.”
Angel: “Look up in the sky. That’s the Seal of Melchizedek. Right there. It means “righteousness.” It is the seal of Jesus.”
a bit later in a taxi…
Mark (to taxi driver): “What’s YOUR name?”
Taxi Driver: “Joshua.”
Mark (surprised): “That’s a very special name. Do you believe in Jesus?”
9. Sylvester Stallone’s Red Jacket, Mark at Eden Roc
Mark: “Sylvester Stallone gave me this red jacket. Do you think it's too much? It's really red."
Angel: “He gave it to you?!”
Mark: “Yeah, it was HIS jacket. He was wearing it. I told him I liked it. He took it off and gave it to me.”
Angel: “I don’t think it’s too much. I think that’s awesome!”
a bit later…I go with him as he checks out his room. We’ve already put my suitcases in my room. Next, we’ll go eat…Mark stands beside his balcony looking out over the Miami resort pools. I see the “Eden Roc” sign is right over his head on one of the buildings. Then he lifts himself up on the balcony railing. This is not unusual. He was Sylvester Stallone’s body/stunt double for 23 years. I’m never quite sure what he’s going to do. It gives me an idea!
Angel: “Do a stunt! The Eden Roc sign is just behind you. It would make a good shot!” I temporarily forgot WHO I was talking to. I just told the guy who fell down the cliff in “Cliffhanger,” the guy who jumped out of the helicopter at night and fell 1000 feet to land on the pavement in “The Specialist,” the guy who got washed away by the water coming down the stairs in “Titanic,” the guy who jumps from a racing car on the highway to the roof of another racing car and hangs on, in “Demolition Man,” a guy who jumped a motorcycle on the roof of “Batman Beyond,” to do a stunt on the 8th floor balcony of his room at Eden Roc, the 2nd fanciest hotel in Miami. I realize what I’ve done AFTER the words have left my mouth.
He gets a gleam in his eye. I see him thinking.

My idea of a cruise… a beautiful room where I can SEE, be comfortable, and my books…
11. Open your eyes, Change the world
I woke up to the sight of light melting through my sliding glass door of my cruise cabin into my dark room. “I need to take pictures,” I thought. I did. Beautiful! I drank my cup of coffee. I scrolled my Facebook news stream. I noticed other Dreamer friends were posting their thoughts and experiences. I had stayed in my beautiful room yesterday from the moment I’d arrived until now. I had been tired, taken a hot bubble bath, rested.
In my news stream there was a post from a young Texas musician guy I met through my Cowboy friend, Andy. Andy had originally inspired me to create my public Austin, Texas television series (which turned into short-stories I’m still writing ten years later). I call it “Texas Tales from a Lone Star.” (I had stayed in my beautiful room yesterday from the moment I arrived… get it? LONE star.) I’m a 6th generation independent Texan who traces her ancestors back to stories by my great great grandmother’s correspondence with one of Stephen F. Austin’s original 300 Texas settlers. She wrote a book of just their letters. Women weren’t allowed to publish books back then. So she wrote her letters in response to his letters and they published her book under his name. It’s in my bedroom closet, right now, at home.
My young Texan musician friend had sung such offensive-to-me songs at Andy’s gatherings that I had quit taking my little granddaughter to them. Once, I had confronted the guy, “Would you stop cussing in front of my little granddaughter?!!” He had told me, “No, that he did whatever he wanted and had no intention of changing.”
This morning, he had posted something I saw in my news stream. “How do you start over?” he had asked. “What do you do to change your life? How do you go in a good direction and make it work?” So I answered.
12. Rambo, Rose Hall, Jamaica, & Team Jesus
Mark (looking over the railing of my cruise suite balcony, down into the tourist village built at the exit from the cruise ship in Falmouth, Jamaica; we can see the shoreline of north Jamaica): “Where’s the beach?” (we only see rocks and foliage).
Angel (looking, too, and trying to remember all the excursions info): “I don’t know. Montego Bay is that way (pointing to the far right). That’s a bunch of shops, down below us. You’re going to have LOTS of opportunities for interactions with the people. Lots of Jamaicans are going to be coming up to you asking for a dollar.”
Mark grimaces, but I know him. These Jamaicans have never encountered a force like Mark before. I picture what’s going to happen. I picture approach after approach being met with, “Hi! What’s YOUR name?” followed by a big, friendly Mark grin and “let me say a prayer for you.” Mark fully intends to counter the Voodooism Jamaica is known for, and which I’ve described in full to him, with his “Team Jesus” t-shirt he’s wearing and his faith. He WILL too.
13. Room Service, Israel, & Andy's Ranch Easter
Andy invited Lai and me to his ranch the Sunday after the cruise. I told him “Lai will love that, yes!” We’ll be hiding Easter eggs for the kids, again, like we have before. When I started to post pics of our arrival in Grand Cayman, I saw the pics from my 2nd “free” room service and as I was rethinking I switched to post those pics first, last night’s pics. I noticed that surrounding the food pics were Israel screenshots, Andy’s invitation, and a couple others. “Put all of them together,” I felt the spirit say. For my Grand Cayman story, which I had just been about to post this morning’s pics for, my thought was Zechariah 4:6. Mark had eaten breakfast with me, just a few minutes ago, and had quoted “Not by might, not by power, but by my spirit says the Lord.” Zechariah 4:6. “THAT’s the story you need to write,” he had said. I’ll write that story, about Mr. Universe, Mark, and Sylvester Stallone, in a minute, after I post these pics of last night’s room service, Israel, and Easter at Andy’s, and the others. “If we had of used a New Testament scripture quote, the prayer never would have made it into the movie. They would have kicked it out. But because we used a quote from the Old Testament, Jewish, they left it in.” “What movie was the Zechariah 4:6 prayer IN,” I asked? “Rocky Balboa, the one I won the Taurus World Stunt award for,” Mark said. He had just told me THAT story. THAT was what I intended to write about. Instead I erased what I had, because I saw the room service photos were next, surrounded by the message from my Outlaw Cowboy friend, Andy’s, invitation to Easter eggs at his ranch, next to my Israel Temple mount screenshots on my phone, etc. So since Mark just said, “Not by might, not by power, but by my spirit, says the Lord,” I will trust there is a reason, write the story, and post these pics first. God’s spirit will fill in the blanks and tell me WHY, later.
14. Queen of the Universe
Mark: "You're the Queen of the Universe, Angel."
Angel: "Yes, I am. I always have been."
Mark is referring to the breakfast tray sitting on the table in front of the couch in my Royal Caribbean cruise suite. As he says it he is opening the glass sliding door in my bedroom to the beautiful deck my room has, that lets me look out over the ocean. He grabs something off the breakfast tray and heads to the railing to look at Grand Cayman. Either God arranged it or I just got lucky but my suite ended up on the right side of the boat. I've now had a perfect view of Miami, the ocean & sky, Jamaica and Grand Cayman, without leaving my room. I love it! I have barely left my room the entire trip. I want to stay in my room. Forever.
Mark: "You should have gone to Karaoke last night. Some of the Dreamers had their guitars and were singing on the deck."
